No matter if it is a normal regular clean-up or the important end of tenancy cleaning, you are done now and you believe that your home looks absolutely stunning and is flawlessly cleaned. But what have you done indeed? The traditional vacuum-cleaning and the dust removal. Yeah, you cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. You even spent some time taking care of the oven, though not long ago you hired one of the professional London’s cleaners for a deep clean-up and it is still shining. Ok, I admit, you made some efforts and this is commendable. However, I think that what you have done is too superficial and you have to be that naïve to believe that it is enough. Well, nothing is that easy and I bet that you haven’t cleaned these, but if you do strive for greatness, do not give up, but keep on learning.Continue Reading
As long as we live in beautifully designed and arranged houses, we will be interested in every possible home maintenance trick. And in fact this whole cleaning thing is not that annoying, tiring and unpleasant, if you are doing it right and you are achieving enthralling results. Try these simple solutions indeed:
Create a routine
It better be a daily one, but a weekly routine wouldn’t be that bad as well. Make a proper plan and stick to it. Make sure that the main tasks like vacuum-cleaning, dust removal, windows washing and a deep bathroom clean-up would be all on the list, but add some that fit your needs as well. Continue Reading
As the statement that guest blogging is dead turned out to be totally untrue, many people started believing that it is a more than easy marketing solution, which does not require some more knowledge, education or skills. They thought that creating a few blogs and posting some articles on a mediocre level with links that are intrusive and annoying, is completely enough for the SEO and in only a couple of weeks they will be able to enjoy some impressive results. Well, they couldn’t be more deluded than this, because as the guest blogging is indeed not dead and is more useful than ever, it is still a tricky task that can be well-done almost by professionals only.
The first thing is its originality. Every article that is not 100% original is totally useless for SEO. However, not everybody can write a text, which will indirectly include some marketing and which will be on a high level as well. That is why you better not try doing it by yourself, but rely on one of those agencies which offer to write a post instead of you.Continue Reading
You want to buy a house at the seaside, because you want to spend more time there: enjoying the tranquility and the waves, the picturesque views, the beautifully blue sea that reflects the even more azure sky. You want not only to go there in the summer, because you like not only the sunbathing part of the holiday, you want to wake up on an easy Sunday autumn morning, to go out of the bed with your blanket because it’s too cold yet, to go on the balcony or in the garden and to see it there – the sea, not so calm as in the summer, a little bit rough, reminding you of the power of the nature, bringing you the feeling that you could not be alone in a place like this. You want a house that will bring you sensation and a wonderful magnificent beach just in front of it. And when we are talking about the best beaches in Europe, the ones on the Greek peninsula Halkidiki are definitely on the top of the charts. But what makes all the others less perfect?
Adriatic and Mediterranean seas
These ones here are almost perfect. Both of the seas are situated in the south part of Europe and that makes them perfect for summer holidays and some trips in the other seasons as well, because there the weather is never too cold. Unfortunately, however, there are far too many cliffs and we can hardly call these shores beaches. Yeah, they are flawlessly beautiful and you can sit on the balcony of your house 2 km away from the sea on a hill and relish the view, but it’s not the same at all. The few beaches with fine sand, however, are so populated and noisy that they have lost all their charm.
North and Baltic seas
The main problem here is connected with the weather. In the winter it is so cold that you have to spend half an hour putting on sweaters and jackets and scarves and hats and gloves before even thinking of going at the beach. Yeah, it’s nice in the first 10 minutes you are there, before your hands start freezing and you have the feeling that you soon won’t be able to move. And in the summer, don’t expect too much – you will never have a chance for normal sunbathing and swimming in the sea.
And here we come to Greece, to Halkidiki and the magnificent and precious Aegean Sea. Well, if heaven is a place on Earth, it’s definitely this one. In the summer you can go to one of those flawless beaches in a small cove where the mountain meets the sea, but where there is perfect fine sand as well. You can swim and dive and enjoy the wonderful perfectly clear water. And in the winter, it’s not that cold, too. You can have a tent there and a bonfire, some friends, nice talks. Idyll.
If there is something magical like unicorns and rainbows and love that resist on every hindrance and princes and princesses just like in the fairytales, there would be cleaning motivation, too. But let’s not be deluded and admit that the chance to be motivated and to do the whole end of tenancy cleaning with passion is almost equal to the chance to become the next queen of Wonderland. And we read articles and even books that give us advice to make lists and to be more organized. And yeah, I know, you do your best, we all do and we end up on the sofa with a non-cleaning-tips book and a glass of wine and the life seems so flawless in that particular moment that we cannot ruin it with something so trivial.
And we do not hate the cleaning itself; we hate the idea of spending our whole weekend in the house, and not on the couch, but on our knees in the bathroom with three kinds of rags, detergents so strong that will almost stifle us and so much anger and disappointment.
You are one of those people who adore plants and, yes, you have maybe too many of them in your home. But you have no problems taking care of them and watering them at least twice in a week, if they are going to make your home livelier. And in fact the plants are one of the easiest ways of decoration. You need only a beautiful flowerpot that fits the interior design of your whole place and a lovely indoor plant. But now your rent agreement is coming to an end, you need to perform the whole end of tenancy cleaning thing (or better to hire one of the London’s professional cleaners) and your so favorite flowers and plants are creating a kind of situation you have to cope with. Don’t worry; there is still a chance to move them in your new home, where they can make it nice and fresh. Just follow the steps:
All the outdoor plants are being cleaned by the rain and the wind, but cleaning those that are at your home is your work. So take a sponge, a simple cloth or an old cotton t-shirt or blouse and take all the dust, grease and oil off the plants. Thus they will grow faster and better, they will photosynthesize easier and will be free of pests. And you only need water; the leaf-cleaning detergent in most of the cases won’t be any more beneficial. If you are in a great hurry but, however, want to take care of the plants, you can even clean them with wet wipes.
You should not do it so frequently, but misting them by spraying water from time to time will make them fresher and will help them grow. As we know the air outside is far moister than this at home and this could be sometimes calamitous for the indoor plants.
Before transporting them you better make them more compact by cutting away all the damaged parts and taking off the dried up leaves. These are things that better stay at the old place
Well, here the situation is a bit more complicated. If you are moving not so far away in the same town, for example, you can simply put the plants in boxes with no covers and transport them with all other boxes and pieces of furniture. A nice idea is to pack the flowerpots with paper or newspaper, so as to be sure that they won’t break while transporting. If you are moving in the winter, however, you have to be more careful. Many of the plants lived originally in tropics or other places with warmer climate and now if you take them outside and the temperature is 10°C, they will most probably get sick and die. So you better move them directly from the house into the car. And if you are moving across the country, you better think one more time if taking the plants with you is a good idea.
The bathroom is like the hell whilst cleaning. Yeah, we all have been told that if you take care of it on a daily basis, you won’t have any problems cleaning it after tenancy. The ugly truth is that we are always busy, taking a quick shower, brushing our teeth, without even having the chance to look at the mirror, before going to school or to work and we neglect it almost always. So in the reality the only thing we need is a quick way for cleaning this absolute disaster called bathroom.
The bathroom could be a home for too many bacteria, so don’t allow something like this to happen. The most popular disinfecting cleaning product is the bleach. However, there are different types on sale, so try not to choose the cheapest one, because most often it is the most harmful as well. You can, for instance, put bleach in the toilet and then wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Magic.
One of the most annoying places you will have to clean is the space between the tiles. There are detergents that could cope with this part and with cleaning the sink as well. So find only one and avoid buying too many cleaning products. The cleaning itself won’t take you a lot of time.
Don’t forget that you are in the bathroom and here you can use so much water, that you need, here absolutely nothing can go wrong. And water is indeed the best. So after you have used different cleaning products rinse out with water. If you strive for perfection you can clean the mirror with a windows detergent and after everything has dried up, you can use a microfiber cloth and take away every single particle of dust.
After every homemade meal arrives that special moment, which makes us scream silently from the inside, yeas, I mean the oven-cleaning. It is sure is not a delight, but as we can all agree, there are far worse things than that. Nowadays, we can prefer to use strong detergents, but there are also more natural products, that easily absorb all kind of fat and burn.
We found a couple of natural chemical liquids that you can prepare alone at home, and actually are pretty good for the purpose that they will be used for. For example – Mix water (1/4 cup), salt (1/4 cup) and baking soda (3/4 cup) into a thick paste. Wipe the oven with a damp cloth and spread the paste over the entire surface. Leave it to act overnight and in the morning wash. This method is most effective when the oven is not too dirty, so clean it regularly. Brown parts and plaque from the oven window can be cleaned, by dissolving baking soda in semi warm water. Put the solution on the surface and leave for 15 minutes. Then you will wipe the contaminated parts much easier. You can also use regular vinegar. Apply a small amount of the liquid on the cooled surface of the oven with a damp cloth and distribute it throughout the area. Give it some time to work. If contaminants are small, will be able to wipe them easily, but they are large, you will be needing a brush.
For every housewife cleaning the stove takes a major part in the main cleaning process, same goes if you are a tenant, and as you will be required to participate in an the end of tenancy cleaning, but our home is just not clean enough without it!
For those who need to shed a few pounds, and others who have a long way to go before their diet goals can be achieved, the infomercial titled “6 Week Body Makeover” is a must watch.
